Hello OPAL community, The Oak Park Art League is officially 103 this month! OPAL could not have remained a vital and welcoming non-profit art organization that long without the sustained support from members and the broader Oak Park area community! Our 103rd Spring Members Exhibition, currently on view in the gallery, marks our anniversary but the celebration of the OPAL community, all it is and still can become, will happen at our annual fundraising gala An Evening Under the Starry Night, Saturday June 8!
You are invited to join the party! Tickets are now available on our website. We’ve added an under $100 ticket option this year.
Enjoy live music from the Woodstreet Bloodhounds, delectable bites, beverages and desserts along with raffle and silent auction packages and some surprises too.
Join us in toasting the future of OPAL! If you can’t make the party, you can make a donation towards future art programs, exhibitions, and the care of our historic building. Introductions are in order for our newest directors of the board who all officially joined OPAL in March. Please welcome Shira Slack, Ginger Brent and Thomas Yates. You will have a chance to meet them and the rest of the board at the next artist reception later this month. Unity Oak Park Spiritual and Family Center, at 405 N Euclid Avenue, is having an art sale with reception on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm. Artists can sign up to display and sell their artwork.
The sale is a fundraiser with Unity providing a 50/50 split of proceeds. Refreshments will be served.
