 Oak Park Art League

Greetings,

March has arrived and with it some new developments at OPAL,
like this newsletter, now delivered to you through our website.
Our Winter 2 Class Session and Figures & Faces exhibition close soon but there are some events in the gallery and workshops in the studio that are happening very soon you should know about.

- Saturday March 2 at 2 pm - The artists from Essence of Mark Making will host an artist talk in the gallery about their work.
Free to attend
- Sunday March 3 from 10am to 1pm marks the return of Sunday Figure Drawing Workshops up in the Studio with model DaLawn Simpson. There are a few spots left.
Preregistration required
- March 10, 2-4pm Double Launch After Hours #47 and Al DeGenova new poetry book Human Nature. Book cover design by Jonathan Franklin. Free to attend

Looking forward to our 103rd Anniversary Spring Members Exhibition, opening March 15, I’m pleased to announce that as a new benefit of OPAL Artist Membership, one artwork per artist will be included in this exhibition, free of charge! Each exhibiting artist must either join as a new Artist Member or be a current Artist Member.
Only one artwork per artist will be accepted for this exhibition.
In addition, we will be gathering digital images of Artist Members work and relaunching an updated Artist Member Directory to the website, so get some good photos of your artwork ready!

Another update to note, OPAL has a new donation page with an easy-to-use form for contributing to our ongoing operational and building maintenance needs. We appreciate donations of any amount that you (or your friends) can send our way. As always, thank you for your support and participation in sustaining OPAL as a vibrant and welcoming art community.

Executive Director
