David Kohan

Artist David Kohan has taught at the college and university levels for 30 years. He received his BFA in painting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and his MFA, also in painting, from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he subsequently taught for ten years.

In addition to VCU, Mr. Kohan has taught at the University of Cincinnati, Wichita State University, Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College. He has taught all levels of drawing and painting, from Foundation through Graduate, with most of his emphasis over the years in Foundation Drawing.

Mr. Kohan has exhibited his paintings and drawings nationally and has received several distinguished grants and numerous exhibition awards. He has work in corporate and private collections primarily in the Mid-Atlantic area.
