The Trump Administration has claimed revolutionary red as “MAGA Red.” Previous dictators have also used this red to exhibit power. However, this red has always belonged to the people and the people’s revolution. Those who decide to speak outside of the liberal echo chamber choose to be a part of the revolution. Their are many ways to be involved with change from demonstration, boycott, dialogue, volunteering, even wearing your beliefs. Wearing fashion related to the demand for change, in a space unfamiliar or hostile to its demands is protest. Fashion has always been used to signal status, class, and culture. Now more than ever is the time to use your privilege, speak for change, and organize in your community.
