Inspired by the poems of Aldo Roda (Homage to Joseph Beuys, 20th Anniversary of the Defense of Nature) and the visual poetry of Mirella Bentivoglio, this experimental workshop uses poetry as a bridge between our bodies and the environments we live in. The main goal is to step closer to nature and create our own living poems.
To create our visual poetry, we will first read the works of Aldo Roda, using his words to ground ourselves in the environment. Next, we will use our physical bodies to interact with nature, capturing these feelings and poetic movements in the garden using photography. By printing our photos and words using collage techniques, we will discover how our bodies and the environment become poetry. Participants are also welcome to bring along any magazines or newspapers they’d like to cut up and incorporate into their pieces!
Free to attend, limited to 8 participants
