West Cook Y Mural Project

The West Cook YMCA has invited the Oak Park Art League to collaborate on an exciting mural project in their community gathering space that will be the focal point of their remodeled first floor.

OPAL Internships

We offer internship opportunities to high school junior and seniors as well as college age individuals seeking experience in the visual arts. We have art administration, art education and exhibition focused internships that may be paid or can be fulfilled for college credit.

CALL FOR ARTISTS:
Imagine Foundation CASINO NIGHT

CASINO NIGHT fundraising event for OPRFHS Imagine Foundation on November 8,
We are including an art component with a BUY NOW option for guests.
The goal is to have 50 pieces of art created by OPRFHS students, D97 & D90 middle school students and local artists.
All creative work would be an in-kind donation. Event will supply the canvases of a specific size. Below are the parameters for the art.

DETAILS:

  • Format: 4×5 artworks; students may submit one piece or a small series (e.g., diptych/triptych using multiple 4×5 canvases).

  • Mediums: Any 2D media (paint, mixed media, collage, printmaking, photography mounted to with a finished size of 4”×5”

  • Materials: 4”×5” canvases, provided
    Artists can pick up the canvas(es) at
    1011 Lake Street Suite 202 Oak Park, IL 60302 

  • Exhibit/Auction: Displayed (with artist name and IG handle or website) and auctioned at Casino Night; Event will handle tags, display, and sales

  • Artwork needs to be turned in by October 24th.

CAPE (Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education)

 CAPE is hiring several artists to teach regular weekly afterschool art classes at west suburban locations this coming school year.  Specifically looking for Multidisciplinary artists such as Visual Arts, Movement/ Dance, Music, Writing to teach with other artist partners.

at the Forest Park Public Library
