The Oak Park Art League celebrates emerging talent with works created in our historic classroom studio and taught by award winning artist instructors.
Our OPAL Student Showcase, highlights the creativity, vision, and artistic development of student artists of all ages and skill levels creating in our studio class room as well as work by OPAL teaching faculty.
This showcase provides a supportive platform for student artists to share their work, connect with the community, and celebrate the vital role of art education.
Eligibility: Current students at any level, please submit up to 2 works (one recent and one from when you began classes at OPAL)
All media and subjects welcome: Drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking and experimental work.
We seek works that demonstrate:
Creative exploration and artistic growth
Technical skill development at any level
Personal expression and unique perspective
Engagement with artistic process and experimentation

*Please read the Exhibition Guidelines. Entry into the exhibition and payment of the hanging fee constitute your acknowledgment that you have read and understood the guidelines for exhibitions in OPAL’s Carriage House Gallery.
This is an Open Call. The artwork you submit will be included if it meets the Call criteria.
● All work must have been completed within the past 3 years and not previously exhibited at OPAL.
● Deliver artwork to the Gallery on the drop-off dates below. All media/mediums accepted except for AI generated work.
● ARTWORK IS LIMITED IN SIZE TO (42”) IN THE LARGEST DIMENSION, including frame.
● Sculptural work can be up to 72” high if it is freestanding but must be no more than
36” wide in the round.
● All work MUST be ready to hang, with hanging wire.
(ABSOLUTELY NO SAWTOOTH OR STRING HANGERS WILL BE ACCEPTED)
● Limit of 2 submissions per artist.
Submission fee:
Art Member - 1st work - $15., 2nd work $10.
Non Member - 1st work - $20., 2nd work $15.
