YOUTH SPEAK TRUTH

Oak Park Art League's open call exhibition, Youth Speak Truth, is coming up this September, featuring youth created artworks (school-age children in the Oak Park area, high school included) both visual and poetic.

The theme is open, but during this year particularly, we want to make space for children to share through art what is important to them, what they think the world needs to know.

I hope you or a child you know has some artwork to exhibit for this opportunity. There is no entry fee and some potential to give kid's awards and sales (60/40 split).

We are donating OPAL's portion of sales (40%) to benefit our art education outreach program at
St. Angela School in the Austin neighborhood.

We are keeping the size small (roughly 5x7) to accommodate as many pieces as possible.
Open to any media, clay, paper, wood, found objects, art does not need to be works on paper.

Submissions can be brought in anytime during our gallery hours, currently (Thursday and Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 10am - 4pm, Sunday 1-4pm) between now and Sept 12 at 5pm.

Thank you for spreading the word about this exhibition.
