Being Human: Figure & Portrait Exhibition
Exhibition Judge: Lenin DelSol
In an age of digital connection and physical distance, how do we capture and portray what makes us most human? What does it mean to be human in this moment and how can art portray this? Through figure and portrait, artists have long explored the complexity of human experience—our vulnerabilities, connections, contradictions, and resilience.
We invite works that examine:
The human form as vessel for story and emotion
Contemporary interpretations of classical figure and portrait traditions
Identity, representation, and the multiplicity of being
Intimate moments and universal experiences
The relationship between artist, subject, and viewer
Seeking: Paintings, drawings, sculptures, mixed media, photography, and digital works that center the human figure or portrait as primary subject matter.
All artistic approaches welcomed: from observational realism to abstract interpretation, traditional techniques to experimental methods.
Submission deadline, FEB 8, 3pm
