"Jesse Howard: ‘A Woke Diaspora”

Bert Green Fine Art
8 S Michigan Ave #620, Chicago, IL
January 31 - March 7, 2026 Opening Reception Saturday January 31, 5-7pm Closing Reception and Artist Talk Saturday March 7, 2-4 pm

Jesse Howard, a Chicago native, has watched African American life in the city for decades. His works are not portraits but figurative types that document and celebrate the wide range of individual and community expression—the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly. At their core, these works are a strong affirmation of the human spirit.
